Horses cannot verbally express pain.

When a saddle doesn't fit, the horse communicates through its body, movements, and behavior.

Inappropriate saddles can lead to:

Back pain and sensitivity -(The horse becomes "afraid" of the saddle, showing discomfort when the girth is tightened)

Tension and restricted movement- (The horse seems lame, holds its head high, arches its back, and avoids jumping obstacles)

Muscle atrophy- (Noticeable hollows at the withers)

Resistance, nervousness, or "stubborn" behavior– (Refuses to move forward, bucks, kicks, bites, runs, or declines to perform tasks)

Frequently, the problem isn't the horse's temperament but the saddle.

I work on-site at your location throughout Latvia.

How does the visit take place?

I conduct visits on-site. Upon arrival, we'll discuss the situation, and I'll inquire about the horse's daily routine, any injuries, riding intensity, and take measurements. Then, we'll proceed to examine the horse's back, where I'll explain key aspects of its anatomy. We'll also assess the current saddle position. Next, we'll measure the back shape and try on saddles to determine the best fit.

I'll provide a summary and conclusions, and address any questions you might have.

30 € per horse + travel expenses (0.5 cents per km – I travel from Riga).

If there are more than two horses within a 20 km radius of one location, there will be no travel expenses unless the distance is over 100 km from Riga.

Contacting a fitter can be nerve-wracking- What if the saddle doesn’t fit? What if it harms my horse? And how much will it all cost—what if I need a new saddle? I can't even afford to buy myself new a pair of boots!

However, I assure you- by the end of the consultation, you’ll gain so much valuable knowledge that you’ll feel confident in helping your horse. Even if the saddle needs replacing- it can be sold, and a suitable option found. I’ll be your support in this exciting journey, so don’t be afraid to learn something new.
